Look, it’s only been a month since last we posted! WE CAN DO THIS MONTHLY POSTING THING! Also thanks to Sean for our shiny intro!
First off, we recently finished Monster ISS, we’re going to post a short Little Fears interlude by Charlie, followed by Prominence, SC, a street-level Batman-inspired Wild Talents campaign.
Secondly, your voice was heard last month, leading to The Devil’s Bazaar being posted. There is a new poll up with NEW OPTIONS! SIGN UP AND VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE!
- SkyMaul – Run by Matt. This is a 99 cent module written by Shane Ivey. It involves antics on a plane.
- The Longest Night of Your Life – Run by Sam. This is part three of the campfire tales. Children try to go to sleep and find they are unable to. Horror ensues.
- Crossover Megamix! – Run by Sam. This is a Complete Bull$#!@ game that was originally going to be run in Rifts. Every character from every game we have played thus far shows up at some point in this (I think). It is. . . impressive.
- Transatlantic – Run by NO ONE. A Fiasco! game we played with Joshua Chichester at the end of the last Drunk and Ugly Con.
- Ichor Falls: Prelude – Run by Sam. A Little Fears adventure set in 1986, based on Kris Straub’s Ichor Falls.
Our topic for today: Long-form game design. How do you write campaigns or mini-campaigns? Hell, I don’t know, but this is a clear approximation of everything.

Secondly, in the hard back edition I have (Completely Monstrous Edition) still has the campaign jumpstart you were talking about (Ugly Secrets) and still has the part about the abusive step-father being eaten.
Finally, I imagine James would be as good of a vice president as Joe Biden. Take that as you will.
It may have been a side comment, but Megatokyo. I may have started on the internet there a decade or so ago. If you were on the forums at any time during its heyday, amongst the 40,000-odd others, we may have interacted.
Can you guess what my username there was? 🙂

I never was actually on the Megatokyo forums, but I met Fred Gallagher at Acen and he wouldn’t autograph my stuff (probably because of the baby he was lugging around). Bizarrely, that was the year I ended up getting a sketch and autograph from Scott Rasoomair (who I didn’t even know was st the convention).
It’s been a long time since I read megatokyo online or in print, though. It was one of those comics I kept reading because I had liked it before.
I’m sorry, but I have to say this, Roland Emmerick (man behind Independence Day) did also do the original Stargate film, and … the american Godzilla… right. Well I liked it when I was a kid? XD
Yeah, I ended up looking over his casting and production credits later and finding the same thing. You can’t deny that in recent years he’s made nothing but shitty, expensive disaster films.
Very true, though for some reason 2012 has an effect on me to make me laugh at how cartoon-esque invincible John Cusack’s character is and at the same time almost cry at some of the “shorter lived” characters. Like the guy on the ship trying to talk to his son over the phone and all the horrible crap happening to him.
Aside from that, yeah his films are almost all movies you need to turn off your brain and try and enjoy with popcorn.
Or Will Smith is in them.
