  1. (Jingles) + (Wanting to build a ramp to see how well Scot can fly or glide) x (Really, anything she says) = (Awesome… FOREVER!!!)

  2. Have any of you listened to the last episode of the Unspeakable Oath podcast? there’s a reading of a letter in that podcast that with the readers gravel voice and conviction reminds me of Newt’s voice and conviction in his monologues.

    1. I have not, no! I’d be interested to know if the voice hurt him as much as Newt’s voice hurt me.

      1. To be fair, I think the guy in that reading had a lifetime to… “perfect?”… that gravely voice, being an ex-radio broadcaster, it sounded very natural.

  3. Nice episode – interesting to see Butch come back into it like this. Sorta like he found his own monster (Who sort of seems like he was built in Wild Talents instead of Monsters, I mean holy shit.)

Also, Manny is basically the best at everything; from being a chill bro to murdering all of his friends, he is number one.

    1. I’m am getting hyped to see what Butch is up to. The “What Butch did…” and “Wild Dogs…” quotes are very ominous.

Maybe Butch is the hero Troy deserves and George is the Joker to his Batman? Maybe we have been following a villain cast this entire time? Cause that would be a M. Night size twist I could get behind.

  4. Is it just me, or does it seem like Newt walks a pretty Lonesome Road?

    1. Definitely an inspiration for the voice, anyhow. I looked to that particulate character and a few others (narrator of Bastion, for instance), when I was looking to make the appropriate voice for this character. The criteria I looked for in inspiration was a rasp sort of bluntness. I wound up drawing a little more from Ulysses than others, though, because his voice sounds a lot like someone who once had their throat torn out (but got better). Really, that was the main thing; Newt needed to sound like his voice box had been almost completely destroyed. So, yep! You are spot on, Ulysses was a big inspiration for this character’s voice, though his actual story came straight from Charlie’s writing.

  5. I love Tim’s “Son of a balls!”
Also, MY GOD THAT DEMON ROAR.
And the way that Nele defended Manny to Etsu was wonderful! I especially like the “If anything *I’m* the BEM, and he’s my kid.”
TIM used IT’S TIME TO BE THE HERO! It’s super effective!
I think it was so cute that Tim called Eroina “Young Frankenstein Lady”, like such a gentleman.

  6. Listening to this series has been really odd. I’ve loved this ap thus far, and each time I hit a new page I try to avoid spoiling too much for myself, but seeing the title of this episode, the artwork, goddamn. I was afraid of listening to it, almost, because I didn’t want to see Manny fall, or have Nele face down his best friend. Didn’t want Emma to lose Scott after all the shit they’d had to get through. I marathoned the entire session until 2.30 in the morning and could hardly sleep afterwards, and not just because that demon roar made me crap myself. Although that helped.

My gaming group’s GM frequently says that the best roleplays are the ‘greatest films that could never be made’. There’s no better example of that than this game. This should be required listening for anyone remotely interested in roleplay games.

Next ep is ready. Gonna listen now.

This is quite possibly the best thing ever.
