After the revelation that someone has put a bounty on their heads the heroes try to go about their normal lives. But the promise of money and a fight has lured old and new challenger to Ashton. Can the Heroes survive in this “CITY OF VILLIANS”?!

PLAYERS

  • Manda – Ryder Owen (King Rush). Small-time motocross champion with a lot of confidence issues. Turned his love for biking into a way to protect the people he loves and fulfill his need for speed.
  • Matt – John Westfall (Giant Slayer). The frontman, singer, and rhythm guitarist of The Tall Summers, an alternative rock band that is also a vigilance group to boost brand recognition.
  • Nate – Rose Brixby (Tankgirl). Outgoing and friendly girl who moved to Ashton from Prominence after a high-profile kidnapping case. She learned to fight and started buying low-impact supersoldier drug derivatives to make sure she would never be kidnapped again and that she could save others as she was saved.
  • Travis – Metra Crowell (MegaGirl). Young girl local to the Ashton area. After losing her arm in a car accident she got mixed in with the wrong crowd, but took inspiration from the Spirits of Prominence and constructed a gas-powered prosthetic to help clean up the Ashton City streets.
  • Zach – Ellhaym Tsukimono (Kageko). A teenage girl who enjoys exploring and finding secrets. A fairly recent transfer student, she’s only been around for a year or so.
  • Charlie – Alexis (Spring-Heeled Jane). A former circus acrobat who was sent to foster care when it was revealed the circus was a front for organized crime.  She now employs her talents by stealing from criminals.

  1. how does Giant Slayer’s power work? like how is it stated out in the game?

His invulnerability power is a rewrite of the Regeneration power from the book (repurposed to be reactive only and only affect shock damage). Basically it knocks 2 shocks off any hits he takes.

It also has a secondary useful quality which ignores GD from damage and a tertiary which is just “Extra Tough” but only for shock damage, but the ignore GD from damage power has an If/Then which disables it after he sustains 4 shocks to head. Also anytime he takes 4 shocks to head he has to make a stability roll or fall unconscious.

      1. So if he was wearing lar 1 on all parts would make him pointless to hit unless you do 2killing to him?

I suppose? He doesn’t wear armor. Also LAR was errata’d to just reduce shocks by its rating because it’s sorta broken.

          1. Hi, I am Travis and I will be your WT/ORE mechanic man! If you have a question please shoot it to the forums or here as I’m always around. Now onto business: Giant Slayers powers.

Yes one of the thing we did was errata LAR to what the ORE forums suggested. It no longer reduces all S&K but only reduces based on rating; 1 LAR reduces 1 shock and no killing (I believe don’t quote me, but we did indeed nerf it because it was so strong in the base rules). We also implement MAR (another thing from the ORE forums) which is a straight reduction of damage, so 1 MAR = Ignore 1 S&K. Basically Giant Slayer has 2 MAR with the flaw “Shock Only”. The Goggle Dice mechanic is a bit of a meta-power, but it fits with the “Fight as long as possible and ignore pain” of GS.

So yea Giant Slayer is a beast, he take hits and keeps coming; but that is his character. If people fight him straight they lose, because he can out endure them; but if they use subterfuge or round-about methods he is easy to chump because in the end he just wants to fight.

If you have anymore questions please ask or go to the forums and ask! See you around and thanks for the comments!
