The once-abandoned West Virginia mining town of Ichor Falls lies always shrouded in mist. It crouches like a slick mushroom in a river valley, brooding. Abandoned by the world for several decades, new inroads are being created. The Elysium Group, the land’s new owners, are attempting to revitalize the near idyllic Falls, welding modern design to repaired turn-of-the-century ruins that slouch in decay.
It is 1986, and four middle-schoolers have moved with their families to take up residence in the new Ichor Falls suburb, Elysia. Their parents have told them that it’s a wonderful new opportunity for them and the family. That things can be different here, no matter what came before.
But Ichor Falls watches the passing of time as a face in a tree. History dwells here, thick and choking and rotten. Stories whispered in the grey light of day become real and inexorable in the night. From the depths of its mist, poised inside the edge of dusk, Ichor Falls waits for a day that comes all too soon.
Ichor Falls is written by Kris Straub, and is absolutely worth checking out.

I’d just like to say, thank you… thank you Sam. I read the Ichor Falls book a few months ago and loved it and as soon as Manda preceded to touch “something” before you said what it was, I knew exactly what was coming and knew this would be, as always, a great listen.
Again Thank you all!
That was fun. Interesting setting, and the lineup of kids is, as always, amusing. I think Isa is my favourite so far.
Aw, thanks! Isa is actually a reference to another character from another mini campaign. Well, sort of. My character in Hell and Back referenced a social worker named Isa Sa’id, and given the area and time frame, it kind of actually worked out well to play him as a character in this.
This was pretty cool. Are you guys planning on telling Kris Straub about it when you’re finished posting it?
That’s the plan. We’ll see if he gives it a listen!
I like what you’ve done for the setting, love the Ichor Falls material. Did you base this off any particular game system?
I’m not sure what you mean, but it was run in Little Fears: Nightmare Edition if that’s what you’re asking.
I think I’ve asked this before, but is the side chatter suppose to be silence for a minute? Is it part of the creepy factor of the games? XD
A fortuitous accident
