The crew of the Brilliant Resolve survived their transit through the warp, and came out the other side with some people and items of worth.  Former Lord Admiral Saint Macarius has joined their cause. The galaxy is not without a sense of balance as they have now been in regular contact with the Primaris Factotum, so the crew gets together their finest regalia as their ship is ripped apart and rebuilt to Warp standards. They find their way to the Grand Administratum to argue Faydra’s case of remaining a Rogue Trader.

Their job finally complete and a foothold for a colony established, the Brilliant Resolve and her crew make way to their next destination. On their way to Footfall, the crew once again encounters the horrors of the warp. Their trip is filled with hallucinations, damage to the ship, and even possession. Having earned some shore leave, they set out to find a retired navy general to be the administrator of their new colony.

A major windfall comes for the crew of the Brilliant Resolve.  In the encounters on her SOS response, Faydra has ended up with the Irradial Cogitator known as “Dead Heat.”  She now has it back on her ship and at her mercy for questioning and buckled down to a seat in a makeshift brig.  They find that he constructed the new megaweapon for The Schismaticus Collective on commission, with no particular ties to the organization.  In asking for help on how to destroy his creation, Dead Heat suggests that it may be far less simple than Faydra hoped.

Never has so much work gone into getting back what rightfully belongs to Faydra Ramirez.  In her quest to retrieve one of her family’s heirloom planets, she has been run through the warp multiple times from planet to planet doing favors for the planet’s current “owner.”  The Brilliant Resolve is now in pursuit of an SOS signal from a mechanicus on another planet claiming to also be part of The Schismaticus Collective.  If Faydra and her crew help them take back their own part of this space and keep out the warring factions, she’ll be party some answers finally.
